NUPENG: oil Workers Suspend 3-day Warning Strike


Nigerian oil workers have suspended their 3-day warning strike.
The Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, had embarked on strike over what it deemed unfavorable staff welfare.
The union has however called off the strike after a meeting with some government officials and representatives of oil companies held in Abuja.
Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, said two weeks have been fixed to settle the grievances of the union.

Barely 24hrs after his epic rant on Snapchat that saw him fire his manager of many years, Kamal Ajiboye and call out Sony Music, HKN star, Davido has taken back his words and has employed a new manager. Davido who must have been following good intellectual advice that he can't manage his music career himself has appointed little known Ayo George as his new manager. The singer’s outburst was obvious that something went wrong between the himself and his manager which he didn’t disclose other than saying he would be his own manager. Buhari Moves To Install Barrow As Gambian President.

President Muhammadu Buhari has imitated moves towards the actualisation of the mandate given to Gambian president-elect, Adama Barrow. According to a statement issued by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Sunday, in the discharge of his mandate as the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) mediator for The Gambia, President Buhari has activated the process for the execution of his task. The statement recalled that one of the outcomes of the just-concluded ECOWAS Summit held on December 17, 2016 in Abuja was the decision to designate President Muhammadu Buharias the Mediator for The Gambia with Mr. John Mahama, the out-going President ofGhana as co-mediator.
