Adeboye: I Remain The Worldwide General Overseer Of RCCG Enoch Adejare Adeboye, a pastor and general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), only relinquished his position as head of the Nigeria church but will remain RCCG’s worldwide overseer, the church has clarified. According to a statement signed by Leke Adeboye, the clergyman’s last son and personal assistant, the announcement of a new Nigeria overseer was made in compliance with the new legal requirements set up by the Financial Regulations Council for all registered churches, mosques, and CSOs, which stipulate that heads of non-profit organisations like churches now have a maximum period of 20 years to lead their organisations while in retirement. Such heads are also not permitted to hand over to their families. The newly announced General Overseer of the RCCG in a sermon published by the church magazine, Redemption Light noted that except the Lord builds a life, family, business or ministry, His creation can do nothing. He enjoined the congregation to trust God for all things because, ‘’when the King of glory comes into any situation, the story of such people changes". Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has retired as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Just last year, the church slammed those calling for the 74-year-old to retire as head of RCCG. Arik Air Keeps Passengers Waiting in Kaduna Airport For Four Days

Several passengers, including children, were stranded at Kaduna International Airport since on Tuesday following the failure of Arik Airlines to airlift them as scheduled. Some of the disappointed passengers made the complaint to the Minister of State for Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika, at the airport during the on-the-spot assessment of the facilities on ground at the airport. They lamented that they had been in the airport since Tuesday just to board Arik air from Kaduna to Lagos to no avail without any explanation or apology from the airline officials. The Nigerian Airforce says it has acquired two Mi-35M attack helicopter from Russia to fight terrorists and criminal gangs. No fewer than 15 hunters have been slaughtered in the bushes between Gubio and Mobbar Local Government Areas of Borno State by members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect. Five people have been shot dead by a gunman at Fort Lauderdale airport in Florida, say officials. It happened at the baggage claim area in Terminal 2, just before 1300 local time (1800 GMT), the airport confirmed. Five people were killed, 13 injured and one person was in custody, said police and local officials. Hundreds of people were standing on the tarmac outside the terminal as dozens of police cars and ambulances rushed to the scene. The Nasarawa State Police Command has arraigned the National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, North Central Zone, Mr. Zakari Idde, before the state High Court in Lafia for alleged involvement in the killing of a Chinese national, his police orderly and two others. Idde was arraigned along nine others on Wednesday but their plea could not be taken because the matter was not listed for mention. The police had earlier paraded before journalists other suspects in the murder but Idde was not among them because he was on bail.
