President Buhari, Boko Haram's Shekau Make LIST of Most Powerful Muslims


The Muslim500, an annual report of the world’s 500 most influential Muslims, has published its latest edition. According to the list, President Muhammadu Buhari is the 17th most powerful Muslim in 2016.
Other Nigerians who made it into the first 50 include: the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar III, and Borno State-Islamic cleric, Sheik Ibrahim Saleh.
Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Nigeria; Abubakar Shekau, leader of the terrorist group, Boko Haram; Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, Prince Bola Ajibola, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, and Abdurahman Olanrewaju Ahmad also made the list.

Tinsel actor, Gideon Okeke, drew some flak during the week when he took to his social media page to say that veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu should be sanctioned for his use of vulgar words in movies. The spokesperson of the Senate Unity Forum (SUF), a forum that canvassed for Lawan’s Presidency, Senator Kabiru Marafa (APC, Zamfara) advised the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu to decamp to the APC. Marafa who said the emergence of Lawan has ended the storm in the Senate said the only seat remaining for the APC to clinch is the Deputy Senate President position. “I am using this medium to call on Ekweremadu to simply decamp. Section 68(G) of the 1999 Constitution captures this. Thank God the rift between Makarfi and Sheriff’s faction has made this possible.
